Field Trip

Aside from the two hours in to LA to see this exhibit of costumes of Italian opera (due to an accident that closed two lanes of traffic on a major freeway), and the two hours home (typical afternoon traffic), my hour in this exhibit was full of color, style, swirls and flourishes.  See the full gallery on my quilty blog.

This is poutine.  

We went for the deluxe: french fries, cheese curds, gravy with meat in it, and "sausages" on top, which frankly, tasted like hot dogs.

(In Montreal, they have decorated "parking meters" around the city, into which people can put their change, instead of giving it to panhandlers.  Clever idea, as the money is distributed to shelters and those organizations that help the poor.)
