So who started all this business about lighting up tree, a house with strands of Christmas lights? Thomas Edison, with the help of some of his friends. The Library of Congress has a page that tells you all about it, including pictures of the first General Electric lighting set.I think of this today, as my own rendition of lighting should be attended to.
