Thursday in Minnesota

Thursday in Minnesota
We arrived late Wednesday evening and the next morning we headed off to downtown Minneapolis, about a 15-20 minute drive north from Matthew and Kim's home in Eagan. Here's Emilee in her car seat in the back.
And Megan in hers. We walked among the skyways of that city: a maze of hallways and bridges that connect nearly all the buildings downtown. Matt and Kim and family pose in front of the sky map, not too far from Target, Matthew's main account with his work.
Also downtown is the business school of the University of St. Thomas, where Matthew is working towards his MBA.
This sculpture is entitled The Entrepeneur. The man is chiseling himself out of the block of stone, a direct metaphor for creating out a new business out of raw materials. When Emilee saw it, she asked why the man was hurting himself, stabbing his knee. The sculpture is in the courtyard at the center of the cluster of buildings for this satellite campus. The main campus is in St. Paul.
Later that night, Dave and I read books with the girls.
